Allison grew up just a few miles from the shores of Lake Conroe and has been a resident for much of her life. After graduating high school she followed her dreams in pursuing a music career in country music and lived in Florida, Chicago, and California for a short time before returning back to her roots of the small town life she loved so much. She worked for the Boy Scouts of America after returning to the Houston area before accepting a position as an office manager in the medical industry. While working in the medical field and singing part time she met her husband Jamie who encouraged her to get a real estate license and try selling homes. She agreed and began classes all while working two jobs including one as a leasing agent at an apartment complex on weekends. With the help of her husband they created a small magazine targeted to potential home buyers looking to relocate to the area and delivered them at night to local restaurants and businesses. That $700 investment in printing a small magazine exploded into what has become one of the top selling boutique brokerage firms in the 4th largest city in the U.S. and what American dreams are made of. Still with all of the success Allison is easily approachable and just as down to earth as the day she started.
Jamie YancyAsk any local resident and they will tell you Jamie’s knowledge of the water and the Lake Conroe area is second to none. Developers, builders, mortgage companies, appraisers, management companies, and local government authorities all call on Jamie for his vast knowledge of property information and values in the area. Jamie grew up on the Texas / Louisiana border on the shores of Black Bayou and Caddo Lake. While attending college at Louisiana Tech University Jamie worked for a local independent real estate broker refurbishing rental properties and doing yard maintenance. "Little did I know I was starting my real estate career by pulling up worn out shag carpets and repainting old houses so they could be rented to college students" he explains. A graduate of Louisiana Tech University he graduated with an English degree with a minor in Business in the Spring of 1994. He began with a position with State Farm Insurance Company selling and servicing insurance policies in the small town he grew up in. He learned how important it was to treat people fairly and honestly when you own a business and operate in a small town. A sales opportunity to join a start up biotech chemical company came along and he jumped at the chance to travel throughout the U.S. and meet new people. After more than a decade and thousands of miles of travel he met Allison one night after returning from a business trip. He encouraged her to look into selling real estate and while dating helped her in marketing her name to the public and build a web site long before the internet exploded. Almost instantly he was spending more and more time assisting his wife with the growing demands of the real estate company and clients loved him. As the business grew so did the need for a local company with local "lake" knowledge thus the birth of Lake Conroe Realty. In the last four years Jamie and his wife Allison have represented more home buyers than any other agent and have sold nearly $50 million dollars more than the nearest Realtor. Background: I'm a full time Realtor who serves the Lake Conroe, Conroe, Montgomery, and Woodlands areas of Montgomery County Texas... Helping people learn about our area so they can make informed and intelligent decisions when buying and selling property is my specialty. Tide MurrayI have had the pleasure of spending my entire life in Montgomery County. I have watched the development of Lake Conroe and the surrounding area. As I grew up in this area, I have had the pleasure of watching it grow up. I have attending the Willis schools and left the area only for a short time to attend school. I returned after school and started a career in the financial end of real estate. I later joined a new home builder, one of the largest in the Houston area, as a Sales Counselor. Kate PowellKate Powell moved to Montgomery County from Colorado in 2011. She has been helping people buy and sell homes in Colorado for 8 years, through a good market and a difficult one complicated by shortsales and foreclosures. She plans to continue that career in Texas.
